Christmas Mice – Photographing

Now the holidays are over and everything has been published, I can share some more details of my Christmas Mice project.

It took a few attempts to get the lighting right, but a combination of natural light and desk lamps gave me a nice result. I also shot in RAW to give me more flexibility when editing.

I made three sets in total: a living room, a kitchen and an outdoor scene.

My favourite part of this project was filling the scenes with tiny details, like tiny cookery books and Christmas cards. I even included a little picture of the real cheese shop on the wall above the fireplace!

When all the photos were finished, I used everything I’d made to create a Christmas window display for the shop.

And of course I couldn’t resist adding in some terrible cheese puns!
